Saloon years ago, the Dog Bar got it’s
name when the number of canines
outnumbered their human
counterparts in the bar. Once the
restaurant was added eight or nine
years ago, the dogs had to be
relegated to the outside deck, but
the name stuck. Feel free to bring
your canine friends with you to enjoy
your lunch outside, but we would
appreciate them leashed and under
your control at all times.Our family
was new to Cuchara last year and has
been overwhelmed by the
friendliness of the people who live
here or have vacation homes in the
area. Many have been here for
generations...

welcomed and encouraged in a business that is brand new to us. And we
thank all of you who have blessed us with your kind words and acts during our
“learning curve”. We are pleased to have a staff of excellent people, many
who are returning after our inaugural year, who are committed to making your
time with us as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. We couldn’t do it without
them!
